ARCHITECTURAL SPECIFICATIONS
Architectural Wood Veneer - Section 6

The following guideline is offered as suggested specification standards.

Product Name:	SanPly Veneer: Architectural Wood Veneer

Product Description:	Unique, patented multi-ply construction of a real wood veneer laminated to paper and foil layers.
General Uses:	For walls, ceilings, columns, and case goods.
General Patterns:	Bookmatched, endmatched and sequenced matched sheets of flat cut, quarter cut, rift cut, burls and others.

1.	Specifications: Materials - the material shall be SanPly-3, or SanPly-4, Veneer as manufactured by Hokusan Ltd., Tokyo Japan, imported by Jacaranda, Inc., Miami, FL. The patented 3- or 4-ply product shall consist of genuine wood veneer and multi-layer paper and foil composition. The species and cut of wood shall be___________ (example: Red Oak FC, Flitch #8V456) to be manufactured from flitch number____________ (as per sample) owned by Hokusan Ltd., Tokyo, Japan / Jacaranda, Inc., Miami, FL, and distributed by Whittelsey Wood Products, Miami, FL.
2.	Adhesive: PVA adhesive used in cold or hot press, used under manufacturer's specifications and conditions to provide a ridge glue line or equal. Glue line should be approx. 2 Mil thickness. Panels may also be layed-up with contact cement per manufacturer's specifications, coverage should be 100% on both surfaces and pressed down with a veneer scrapper to prpoduce an intimate bond. (J-roller should not be used.)
3.	Environmental Conditions: SanPly products should be kept in a box until needed for installation. SanPly veneers should be stored in a dry, low humidity and even temperature room.
4.	Preparation of Substrate: Surface shall be clean, smooth and dry prior to application of SanPly Veneer.
5.	Installation: SanPly Veneer should be applied by an experienced woodworker under normal shop conditions. Use of adhesive and the pressing should be done to manufacturer's specifications.
6.	Warranty: SanPly Veneer is guaranteed to be free of defect in material and workmanship for one year. The manufacturer is not responsible if recommended procedures by the manufacturer of the adhesive and finishes, as well as application instructions, are not followed. The manufacturer is not liable for labor or associated cost in replacing SanPly Veneer over and above cost of replacement material.
